Aviator SmokeHouse Story

Aviator SmokeHouse opened in March 2011 as a complement to Aviator Tap House located across the street. We have always loved smoking meat in the backyard and decided to bring our homegrown recipes out for everyone to try.

Smoked Wings We feature smoked wings…that are deep fried to order, homemade onion rings, smoked pork pulled and chopped Eastern NC style! We have St. Louis style smoked ribs that can be served dry-rubbed or with any of our house made sauces.
All of our food is made in house. We strive to source all of our vegetables locally. All of our pork comes from North Carolina. We strive to be farm to table.

Wing Sauces Be wary of our wing sauces they can be much spicier than others. Our MocoLoco sauce is made with the Ghost Chile Pepper which contains approximately 1million Scoville units of heat! Our other sauces MocoLoco, Crazy, Monster, Buffalo, BlackMamba and Aviator are all created in house using beer!

Check out our current menu of fine smoked meats. Note you can order food at the restaurant or the tap house. For the best service please give us advance warning of any parties larger than 6 so that we can set some tables up for you. You can always get your food to go…just let us know!
